Contact Mission Catalyst and request to start the process.  Let us know when and where we can reach you by phone for the pre-application interview.  If you are married, you and your spouse both should be available.

Step 2

An assessment staff member will call for the pre-application interview, which takes 45-60 minutes.

Step 3

After the interview, if you and the staff member agree to proceed with the process, we will send you an application form to complete and return to our office.

Step 4

You will take four pre-assessment tests.  (Your spouse will take these tests, except for ELI.)

·         StrengthsFinder (online)

·         Leading from Your Strengths (online)

·         16 Personality Factors

An assessment committee will review the test results and determine if the candidate’s personal and leadership profile potentially matches that of a founding pastor.  If so, the candidate is invited to proceed with the rest of the process.  If not, the candidate is welcome to proceed with the rest of the process but he/she will not qualify for subsidies or launch funds.

Step 5

Pay the registration fee ($375 per couple; $330 per single) by sending a check to our mailing address or paying online.

Step 6

Once at least three candidates are committed (completed the application form and tests, invited by the committee, and paid the registration fee), assessment staff will connect all candidates and assessors by phone to set the dates.

The dates must be at least six weeks from the time when the third candidate has committed. The dates must be four consecutive days, one of which cannot be Saturday.

Step 7

We will send you self-evaluation forms to complete and return to our office. You also will submit a recent sermon in audio or video format and a recent photo.

All of the above, completed references, and registration costs must be received at the Mission Catalyst office at least 21 days before the four-day event.  This is VITAL! The responsibility lies with you to make sure that the references are in by the deadline.  If necessary, they may be emailed or faxed to Mission Catalyst.

Step 8

Make your travel plans!  Plan to arrive in time to relax and get settled. If you have children, please plan to make arrangements for their care while you are gone.  See you there!
